    Guys,

I am thinking about getting the Lakemaster sofware so I can pre fish from my computer. Can anyone that has it let me know what you think of it??? What a great tool if it works the way I am thinking it does. Also, How are the waypoints transfered from the work you on your computer onto your lowrance GPS unit? Thanks in advance for any info.

    Chris,

I have the Lakemaster Contour Pro software and it will serve the exact purpose you are looking for, prefishing from the computer. I has the same awesome details as the map chip but much easier to use on the computer. I also transfer my waypoints from my boat electronics onto the computer so it serves as a waypoint management software also. I highly recommend it. I will mark the inside/outside turns, points and break’s as waypoints on the software and then transfer them via SD card to my boat electronics which really cuts down search time on the water.

Note: I also have Navionics Explorer software for computer and although it does have more lakes from SD, ND, IA, etc the details are not even close to the Lakemaster product.

I have it………drives me crazy seeing all the spots I

    should try on Mille Lacs.

Transferring waypoints to an SD card is easier than signing

    up for IDO.

I am also looking at the Lakemaster SW. I also am considering an HDS 7 – my old unit won’t accept the new chips – it sounds like a real great capability – hopefully I won’t spend all my time fishing on the computer at home.
