A broken wrist. Last night while shoveling my driveway both feet shot straight out from under me. Down I went on my lower back and my left arm as I tried to save myself. Shattered part of the the large bone in my wrist. Have to have surgury to put in a plate & screws, but can’t get it done until Tuesday morning. Man does it hurt!!!!!!!!!!
Constant pain, even though I am popping 2 percaset every 4 hours. Looks like I will be off work for 6 weeks the doc said. Hard to type this with only one hand.
Your prayers for relief from the excruciating pain and a successful surgury would be greatly appreciated.

OUCH!!! Prayers sent. Maybe if you bring a rod to the surgery, they can mold cast to the handle. LOL best wishes and a fast recovery to you.

Off work for 6 weeks!!! Drink a bunch of milk to pump up that calcuim so the osteoblasts can build that bone back to full strength.

Sounds like a real bummer. My prayers are with you. Their is always a bright side to everything though. After the first week of pain. Well you can fish with one hand. Good luck.

Look at the bright side. You can’t shovel and in six weeks you can begin therapy by getting the fishing gear ready for open water.

Prayers sent for sure. Happy New Year. The rest can’t be any worse so you got that out of the way for the year.

    God Bless.

Thanks for the prayers and encourament. I like the idea of getting the cast molded around a fishing rod! My luck I would poke myself in the eye while trying to sleep.
My son said I could have picked a less painful way of getting out of helping him move this weekend. Thankfully he will plow my driveway for me. No letup in the pain department.

Well if they can’t mold it to a fishing rod maybe they can mold it around a can of beer!
    best of luck.

How are you feeling now? Have you had surgery? Hope the pain has eased and you can at least be comfortable.

Six weeks before getting ready for open water…NOTHING!!!

Open water now just 20 miles downriver from you.

Get that cast molded for your sticks!!! Now you have an excuse to do more fishing and less work

The doc said he can’t do the surgury until Tuesday. I was pretty upset with that, but with the holiday there must be alot of medical people off? He is a hand surgeon so maybe he’s really booked up. Nevertheless I wasn’t to happy and
    I told him so.
The pain has eased up some so at least it is tolerable. Tuesday it will be back I’m sure after the surgury. I definately plan on complaining to somebody high up the ladder at Summit Orthepedics about how long I had to wait. Pretty hard to peck away at the keyboard with only 1 working hand.
