I am looking for a very warm hat and having difficulty finding one. I prefer the bomber style but without the fur. I would also like it to be wind and water proof (like Gore-tex) with some insulation (like Thinesulate). I have already checked online Cabela’s and BassPro, also gone to Rochester Fleet Farm and Gander Mtn… nothing found. Any suggestions?

Marcum has a pretty sweet ear flap hat that is pretty nice.
It is the FLeece lined Hat that is about $13 bucks. I really like mine.

Ditto that. I have one of those as well. They are very nice.

You can purchase that hat right here.

Get a thisulate hard-hat liner [snoopy cap] and toss on a lighter weight cap of choice. The liners are very comfortable and have generous ear flaps with a decent chin strap.

The new Vexilar bomber hat is very warm and keeps the sun out with the brim. I’m sure the pro-marcum guys/gals could put tape over it (logo) or use black permanent marker…

I love my rabbit fur hat. Sure it is huge, but warm as heck.

Too bad your not interested in fur. By far, very warm and wind resistant…plus if the demand went up a little, maybe I could get a few bucks for my freezer full right now

I have a thinsulate / knit hat that is over 20 years old. the only hat that I have ever had that was this close, was 100% wool.. but that one lost its shape after a few years.. my thinsulate hat is in great shape after all this time.
    so that’s my humble opinion.

You’re just down right mean BK. Hopefully no one’s wearing one when you’re shooting!

I know the OP didn`t want fur but, they are the warmest hat I have ever owned. Only thing I wear when it gets cold unbeleivably warm. Won`t leave home with out it.
