Hey guys. The Girlfriend and I are looking to do a weekend getaway up north soon. What resorts or places would you recommend for some great fishing and snowmobile trails. I would like to keep the drive within 4 hours of the cities but im open to anything you recommend. THANKS!

You really can’t beat Mille Lacs right now. Fishing is good, and I know they have miles of groomed snowmobile trails. I would recommend the Red Door!

I will second this, only sub McQuoids for the place to stay. Literally right on the Soo Line Trail

I like the Red Door option, trial comes through on the north side of the road, but for that up north feel and in the woods atmosphere I’d recommend Dixon Lake Resort. Fishing on Dixon can be awesome, you can take a logging trail to the third flowage to get on Winni. They winterized a few more cabins this past year, so a small cabin should be available right on the lake.
