Vikes are 8.5 point favorites here at kickoff. I’ll take the Bears to cover with a “mythical” $100.

If you wanna watch some truly garbage football , turn on ESPN. The Queens are putting on a clinic right now.

The ONLY reason that clown Chili still has a job is because of Favre. That guy sux out loud….on ice….

You got that right. Would sure hate to have a guy like Favre audibleing out of genius play calls like that third down pitch to Taylor!

If you wanted to watch a team punch another in the mouth you will have to replay the Packer- Seahag game from the weekend. It dosent look like Minnesota could punch themselves in the mouth…..

I did not spout on this thread today, for the exact reason that I am witnessing. The Vikings are good, they are a far better team than the Bears this year, but, the fear I have had, is showing through. Coaching. I am not talking about play calling (although that is suspect sometimes) but the coaching that goes on during the week, between games, Win or Lose, a coaches job is to make sure they keep their minds and wits about them. Chili does not know how to do that…. he never has…. you have to know when to stroke an ego and when to squash it…. I believe he only knows how to squash them and to raise doubt in their ability. I also believe he has a hard time getting a team to gel, especially with a bump in the road. I only hope they can figure this out, before the playoffs start. Great teams do not lose to 5-9 teams… we will see if he has any answer for the Bears in the second half. 16-0 at half tells me, as bad as the Vikings were, the Bears could not take advantage as much as they should have.

I’m holding a hammer over my thumb about to smash it to take my mind off the game. This is a bit frustrating. I’m not a fair weather fan, but how can they not be blowing this team away?

We need to build them a new stadium…

    …in another state. P

Well it ain’t over yet, but the Vikings sure decided to make it the hardest path possible. Do the Eagles play in a dome?

Well at least Brett retires a Viking?

No matter what happens here on out, I am at least grateful that we could beat the Pack twice with their old hero. If that is the best I can hang my hat on this season, it is worth it.

You have to understand that any NFL team can beat any other NFL team on any given Day

You do have one thing right in your post and that is the Vikings are not a Great team.

How much Nog did you start with I don’t know if the Bears can score more than double their average point total in one game against the Vikes? Even if it is cold out.

Sorry, but I think you’re going to need to get some more Nog

Bear down Chicago Bears!!!!!!!! The vikings still can’t handle the cold!!!! Would have been a blowout if the bears had a secondary and didn’t play the cover 2 all the time. Vikings will go one and out in the playoffs!

While any team may beat any team at any given time, the vikes have lost to 5-9 and 5-10 teams, like said, great teams do not normally lose to teams with these records.

Plus considering the records of the teams they did beat, not so sure I’d use the term super bowl bound and the vikings in the same sentence.

I did get tired of the announcers rambling on about how great the vikes were and how many records they have, the
fact they were losing their butts at the time, must have been missed by them.

If nothing else, it was a fun game to watch.

I’ve tried to stay out of the Viking threads this year.

    But…………………………

What has really changed since last year?

    Coaching still bad.
    Play calling still bad.
    Pass defense still bad.
    Fan base, still fanatical.

With the exception of Favre & Harvin it’s basically the same team we have watched since Chilly arrived.

Saints lost to the 3-12 Bucs

    Dallas lost to the Packers

Thanks, it appears there are no great teams heading into the NFC playoffs. I like our chances again.

I can’t believe I was away from my computer for this game! WHAT a way to end the MNF season. Now onto TALKING about DA BEARS! Quote of the night would be the following.

    I guess they can!

Now seeing as how I’m a Bears fan living in MN and am use to being the only one cheering for my team in a bar, which is MUCH more exciting than cheering with the bar, Last night was a blast! apparently though my victory lap was too much for some people! oh well.

As for you Vikings fans say what you want about how you going one and done in the play offs will be one more game than the Bears. TRUE, However If you can’t join em’ Crush their hopes and dreams! I think my mom said that but I’ll have to check. i THINK WATCHING THE BEARS END THE #1 SEED for the Queens, and making them more of a #3 was every bit as good as watching them in the playoffs.

Now where is that bottle of Jack Daniels I won last night?

Lovie may have just saved his job! for now. Hey if so is that called “Pulling a Childress”? I swear you wold never know Chilli coached in Philly. the man looked like my 2 year old son last night all bundled up and can hardly move. Alright I’m done for now.

As a transplant and Bears fan I am mad at myself for falling asleep at half time and waking up just in time to see the Vikes send it to to overtime. Sounds like I missed a pretty exciting second half.

I am becoming a fan of the Vikes for the shear fact that I live here and it is fun to follow a local team. Lost 3 of 4 now rolling into the playoffs soon, it isn’t looking good going into the playoffs.

    Vikes look flat, almost emotionless.

Great individual performance by Hunter Hillenmeyer last night. Will Lovie be back?

Neither the Vikes or packers have many of their 11 or 10 wins against teams with winning records. I believe the pack only has two wins against teams with winning records (currently) – Dallas & Baltimore. The Vikes only have four (currently) – Baltimore, Cincinnati, Green Bay (twice ). Two of the Vikes losses against teams with winning records (currently) – Pitt & Arizona (last year’s Super Bowl reps) & two vs. teams with losing records – Chicago & Carolina. Pack has four losses against teams with winning records – Vikes (twice), Pitt & Cincinnati. Their fifth loss was to Tampa. Neither team appears to be a real powerhouse or Super Bowl contender. The pack does seem to be playing their best ball right now. Vikes need find a few guys that can tackle on both special teams & defense. Have said all season that if they don’t get to the QB, we are in trouble! Hopefully they get it together in the next week. Looks like they will probably be playing that first week of playoffs. Anything can happen once the playoffs begin. Skol Vikings!

Key here is we lost to TWO of them and I did say “Normally”
Considering the other teams we beat, I’d be a bit hesitant to call the vikes a “great” team anyway.

Quite honestly, in watching alot of football recently, I don’t believe there are any “great” teams in the NFC…. earlier in the season it looked like there were a couple… frankly, I am glad Carolina is out To me it is anyones Conference… yes even the Pack

    Agree on that.

Got a mythical $200 going into next week.

Fun game to watch. Who else you want as QB in that last drive to take it into OT? Favre earned his paycheck there!
