I’ll never know why I’ve been blessed with such good friends… but call me lucky. Wade and his wife Tamara, Jolly Ann, sent Cheryl and I a little gift basket from Omaha Steaks from Christmas. Thanks again you guys!

Anyway, in that gift basket were some of these Carmel Apple Tartlets. They are, simply…. the bomb! Imagine the best apple pie with a little carmel in the best crust I’ve ever tasted (sorry grandma) and that’s what these little morsels taste like.

If anyone has a gift to give yet this year…. and you want to be a hero… try this link. web page

Cheryl and I just ordered 6 more. Thanks again Wade and Tamara. Merry Christmas to you both.

So… did anyone else get any particularly GREAT gifts this Christmas?

My wife gave me the shock of a lifetime when she made me go out to the garage, only to see a new flip over shanty. i was so surprised i was holding back tears. i still need to keep going out there and making sure i dont wake up from this dream. i didnt even have to assemble it. it is totally ready to go. i was looking at clams, but i now own a frabill. i am still happy. she did a great job.

I didn’t ask for anything. But every year, I get a great gift from my kids. Seeing the smiles in their faces as they rip through the mountain of toys Santa’s left behind.

    It’s all I’ll ever need.

Call me old fashioned, but my family still likes to put presents in Christmas stockings over the fireplace. Although I may find this a little weird, I was thrilled to find a $50 gift certificate to Custom Jigs & Spins inside!

There is just something special about a tackle gift card…It’s the gift that never stops giving!

I bought my wife a pretty sweet gift, just have to get from Illinois up to Vadnais Heights to pick it up. I may get a little use out of this gift as well.

I’ve been complaining about the Sorel boots that I received for Christmas from my parents in 1967 or so. They are so heavy to walk in if there’s just a little snow. With 40 year old felt lining, they aren’t exactly as warm as the new style boots.

They can be now laid to rest. My new boots are so light weight I’ve been thinking about using them as slippers around the house!

BTW By the look on the FW face, the 2010 model snow shovel was a “hit”.

As awesome as getting a ps3 for xmas was….i think the highlight still goes to the box of fishing tackle i got from both the girlfriend and mom…they both got better taste than i thought! from both i got spro frogs, a variety of soft plastic baits, and a half dozen spinnerbaits, along with some line, and kvd line and lure conditioner

The FW gave me $$$ for fishing license and a charter boat fishing trip when we are in South Carolina in February. How cool is that?

I did get some great stuff from the daughters and wife but the best, I bought Mario Kart for the Wii. We were all laughing until are eyes were full of tears. Now with the daughters hardly ever home, Mario sure made for a great day of hangin’ together

I did get some nice gifts this year, but the best would be not having to work on Christmas. I also had Christmas Eve off as well. That hasn’t happened for probably five years now.
