Today we are saying goodbye to a very special man. My father pasted away last Thursday. He and I have hunted and fished together for over 50 years. I am going to miss him. He did not get out much the last few years as he lost most of his sight. I would call him every day after pre-fishing for a tournament just to give him an update. The same with hunting adventures. He really enjoyed getting updates on how the fishing is. During the winter on pool nights I would go to his house for dinner and play cards with him. He looked forward to that. He had a good life and it is going to take a long time before the pain starts to go away. I thank God I was able to spend as much time with him as I did. Thanks for listening. It’s hard to think of him not being here but he is in a better place and that helps me get through.

Sorry for your loss Hawghunter. It is tough to lose a loved one anytime but seems to be even more difficult around the holidays.

Thanks guys. I just got back home. It was tough saying a few words at the cemetery. I will cherish the many memories of Dad and I fishing and hunting together.

I saw this post this morning. I thought you were complaining about the fishing.

Wish it was as simple as that.

    Our sympathy Arnie.
