Walleye Mount

Last spring I took a trip down to pool 4 with my good friend Sauger. Dean helped with his great service as always to give me what I needed to get the fish of a lifetime. We spent most of the day vertical jigging and pitching, but after dark we decided to do some dragging. With the help of Sauger I was able to get this beauty into the boat. I brought pictures and measurements to John’s Taxidermy out of Hastings, and once again I got great, fast service. I got the fish back two months before I thought I would. It will make a beautiful addition to my living room. Thanks again Dean for all your help.

I just have a feeling that momma isn’t gonna want that fish on the table though!

Looks great — nice choice on the replica! How about a picture of the fish you released? And what were the measurements?

Here’s a few pictures from the night she was caught. She was 29 inches. 10 pounds, six ounces. Momma for sure would rule out the table. I’ll have a hard enough time getting it in the main living room.

Wow, she’s a hog! The replica looks fantastic, actually looks just like her.

Sauger, as usual when we used to fish together, caught 10 to 15 fish for every 1 that I caught. I was just lucky that night and got the big one.
