Wii’s are fun. Really good for group or family games. I like the X-Box 360 better. But that is because I love Halo and World at War and Modern Warfare, you know horrible blood, guts and destruction games!

A couple of years ago, a friend of our brought his Wii over to our house, as his kids were in trouble, Michelle and I became hooked on it. So much so that when our friend took his back , we had to go buy one.

I think I probably spend as much time on it (now that WINTER is here) as the girls do. Very interactive for the most part. Wii sports has tennis, baseball, golf you have to use the wii remote as your racket or bat or golf club. There are so many great games. Right now we are very into the New Super Mario Bros for Wii.
I say you wont be sorry if you make the plunge

I have one and love it. I actually just bought the Wii Sports Resort game package today, and it’s twice as good as the one that comes with the Wii. Other games that are great especially for new or casual games are New Super Mario Bros, Mario Kart, the guitar hero series, and the Rayman series.

The Wii Fit is a pretty cool deal too. You can actually use it to help stay in shape, and there are some fun games on it.

I have one and it helps pass time during the winter. You won’t regret it. Guitar Hero and Madden are both a lot of fun.

We have one as well and have a lot of fun with it. It is good for kids and adults and most games are multiple players so there isn’t too much fighting over who gets to play next

We received one as a family gift for Christmas last year. Loved it! Even got the Grandparents to play.
However, our daughter took it to college and we only get it during the summer and during winter break. (Her dorm room is really popular…)
Our son is getting an Xbox 360 for Xmas this year. Shhh…
Hopefully that will also be fun.

i have one also. i really dont play much during the spring summer and fall, but it gets used quite a bit now untill it gets warm out. only thing i dont like is the selectio of games compared to a ps3 or xbox is very bad. there are a few good games like mario and some sports games, but most of them are very childish. for the small amount of video games i play, im not dissapointed at all in buying one. if i was a hardcore loser, i mean gamer, i would probably buy something else

I have a PS3, Xbox and a Wii. I play the Wii about 5% and the PS3 95%. The Xbox is my daughters and she plays that almost exclusively, but will play the Wii and PS3 on occasion. I liked the Wii when I first got it, but I grew tired of the novelty rather quickly. I find it too hard to control for games like Call of Duty or Tiger Woods golf. The Wii sports games like tennis, boxing, baseball, etc are fun.

I think if you have had systems like a PS2, Xbox, or Gamecube in the past, and are used to playing games with the more standard controllers, you won’t like playing a lot of the regular games that weren’t specifically designed for the Wii.

Now, as far as would I buy one again, if I had kids in the 6 to 12 year old range, probably. My daughter is 17 and likes some of the games, but plays the Xbox and the PS3 more.

The nice thing about a PS3 is that it plays Blu-ray discs. You can also stream Netflix movies, which you can also do with an Xbox 360, but the Xbox won’t play Blu-ray discs.

    Hope that helps.

We have a Wii and I and the family enjoy it. Bowling is fun. I ahve a fishing game that is pretty fun too. I think its Rapala fishing. Lake Milacs is on the game which I thought was neat being as close as we are to it. If you’re not a video game guy this is the game console for you. Easy to use, the remote doesn’t have 100 buttons and it has bowling for those cold winter nights when you’re not fishing.

Have had one for awhile, started with the basic, which was fun, then went to the wii fit + and use it everyday, gets ya off your butt and moving, instead of sitting in a chair and working your fingers. Also have the wii sports resort and the whole family plays the different games at least once a day. Several other games including the fishing, which just works your arms. Going to be great for the winter months.

Played for the first time over turkey day and loved it. I was able to play baseball with a ten year old whom kicked my butt, bowling with a four year old whom also kicked my butt, attempted guitar hero and realized I will never rock although I am a demon on the pad and snow-boarding game!

I liked how a four year old, and parents could all play and have fun.

I just purchased a Wii system, along with wii fit plus, initially it was alot of money, but it’s been fun to use. I’m 50 and plan on keeping the kids happy for hours when they come to visit, it was easy to set up less than 10 mins, and it’s nice to interact with the screen instead of sitting and using only your thumbs for exercise.
I’ve played all the games included on the sport package and find myself leaning, bobbing, giving body english to all of the games, overall I’d give it a 9 so far, although for me its not hard to put down to do other things, I can see how people get addicted to it. I got a much better deal off of a website than at any store that is selling them.

I don’t understand the whole Wii concept.

In real life I suck at most athletics so why would I want to play a game where I still would suck?

At least with a Playstation or Xbox I could be good at killing zombies and aliens.

The graphics on the Wii aren’t as good and the games are cheesy compared to Platstation or Xbox 360.

    Just one dorks opinion…

I bought a Wii bundle that included Wii Sports Resort as a family gift and grandma is giving the kids Super Mario & Mario Kart. It is nice to hear good reviews. I am really looking forward to seeing the kids faces when they open it.

i picked one up this year for the family also. I have never played much in the realm of video games except for PONG when i was a kid. We wanted this one because it is interactive. and the kids will have to move instead of sittting on the couch. Would i be pushing it if i bought the wife the the Wii FIT or is that like a gym membership . All in all i think it will be great for the kids and me this winter.

I bought one last year – now understand I had NEVER had a game system before because I did not like all the buttons on my kids controls. I LOVE the Wii because it is easy to use. My wife and I play the games (bowling and golf) almost every evening. We got the Wii fit and I lost 25 lbs with it. Now I want the tougher fitness ones. IF you like the old controls of most games you should stick with those because of the reasons stated above. IF you want easy to use go with the Wii ( I asked for fishing for Christmas, got Tiger Woods golf last year and love it)

We have had our wii for a year and it was well worth the $$$. Our 8 year old daughter has such a great time not only playing the games but creating mii’s. It gets her up and moving when the weather is crummy. The best part is that Wade and I have fun playing games with her. It is also fun to bring to family gatherings and have wii tourneys. Fun for all ages!!
