Yep the Vikes go 10-3 this week just like I (a Vikings fan) predicted in a previous Vikings post After last weeks poor-formance there is no glimmer of hope for the Uper Bowl this year

Oh come on guys, the vikes will win this game after the horrible game they had last week. Vikes 34 Bengal’s 14. Lets give the old man some credit. I think he has earned it.

Congrats Vikes on another Win (From a Packer fan). Please hurry up and win the Super Bowl so I can stop routing for you! I’m cheering them on for my father who is 74 and has waited sine 1961 to be able to say “his team” won the big one. Hands down a better team than the Pack this year.

My only regret today was that when chad ocho d-bag’s helmet flew off, his head wasn’t in it. That’d be ONE way to shut him up.

It was a great game to attend!! Winfield is a STUD. I’m actually suprised we went 4-2 without him.

I was there too Kooty! Great game! Did you notice there was a lot of Bengal fans there. Interesting to me.. Good to see Ochocinco not celebrate like he said he would when he saw one of our players down on the field after the play. He’s a lot of show but that showed some class.

Now we’re looking for that BYE weekend!

Ya, we got there really early. Dad can’t do the cold very well, so we didn’t want to wait in line. I was surprised how much orange they had in the stands. I gotta admit, the Bengals uni’s are pretty cool.

I had a couple firsts yesterday. I’ve only heard that place that loud one other time. 98. My ears hurt 3 different occasions. Second was a not such good moment, but a classic metro dome one.

We sit in the upper deck, row 4, seats 1-4. Great people watching seats. Get to see the drunks stumble etc… A girl and her friend were headed up just as the game started. She is HAMMERED. She is trying to hang on to his coat. They got past us I and quit watching and looked back to the field. Suddenly there was a lot of commotion above us. I look up and back, she had fallen backwards down the steps into the railing above the concourse entrance/exits. She seemed to be OK. I looked back at the game. Suddenly lots of laughter again. I look back, this chick’s pants had been pulled down during her fall. She was both sections as she headed up the steps. I’m pretty sure she didn’t even know. Luckily she wasn’t hurt and we all got a good laugh. Sadly, she didn’t have a bum that anyone wanted to see.

Here is future IDO pro staffer and pro walleye angler, my son Christian, on those very same stairs of death.

We had a blast. Great game to watch – love the wave going on at the end of the game. Hate the drunk behind us who taught Christian some new words.

Looks like you were a section over, but right above us?? We were in 237.

I can’t criticize the drunks too much cuz I’ve been there. At least the younger guys anyway. Part of being young and dumb. However, I’m concerned about the 30+ crowd who are angry and drunk. I’m not sure when I’ll be taking my kids to their 1st game.

Until they are either old enough to go to the restroom alone or the dome puts in some family restrooms. I’m NOT taking any of my daughters into the men’s room.

Maybe I’m just getting old but I remember when you could take kids to pro games football, baseball etc. and not have to worry about drunks language, behavior and the kind. It seems now many young and old (mostly young) try to see how plastered they can get before and during the game. It’s just another event to get drunk and no real apprecation of the game. It’s a new era I know, players come an go and make lots of $ and the common fan cannot relate any more. In some odd way I think that’s part of it……………

What I find funny about the dome is the age range of boozers. We saw a gent yesterday that I’m sure was in his 70s. Two fisting it, having a hard time navigating the steps. So, it’s all ages. I personally won’t have more than a couple beers anymore since I’m almost always driving. I completely understand what you are saying.

I do expect for my kids to hear stuff that is not “right”. I figure it’s my job to teach them it’s not right to say those “naughty” words. I guess I’m getting old as I can’t see wasting my money on a ticket to get bombed and not remember the game. Like I said before though, I am throwing rocks from my glass house by critcizing these guys/gals.

I was driving thru Wisconsin during the game. Had a station with the Vikes game on it for a while, but eneded up having to listen to the Packers game. They did not give a score update on the Vikings game at all until the Packers post game wrap up. It seems they are hesitant to even mention the Vikings even through we are in the same division, and they are still mathamatically in the division race. So be it. The best thing though was Monday. I drove I-74 between Indy and the Cinci belt line, then south from there thru Ky. into and thru WV. and eventually into NC. The whole way I listend to the ESPN radio station from Cinci with Dan Patrick, and every single commercial break ended with him saying..”What happens when a so so team plays a good team…30-10″!! I couldn’t belive it.

I’m still in NC and am going to be running around down here till I head back north for Xmas next week. I might look into going to the game on Sunday.

Sitting in a sun drenched open air stadium with 50-60 degree temps, watching the Vikings declaw the Panthers. Sounds like a good time to me….BTW, how much ice you have up there?
