Gods speed in recovery, see you back in the shop and on the water hopefully soon. Jack.
January 17, 2004 at 7:58 pm #289098I’m new to this board, but from what I’ve read/seen here, this Mike must be quite a guy! I too will say a few prayers for him and his family. Bless you all!!!
January 20, 2004 at 12:51 am #289262Talked to Mike for a short bit on the phone today. He is out of intensive care unit but still very weak and tired and not up to visiters yet. Tuesday he will have another cat scan to see if there is any poison left in him. Please continue to pray for him as hes got along ways to go to get back on his feet. He is improving but it will take time. Thanks, Bill

They will try to get at it from where they did the two first surgeries and if that doesn’t work then they will have to cut him open in a different area again. Mike really needs your prayers guys and gals. The Lord is answering them as he is better than he was but still more work to be done to rid him of the poison. With our prayers and the Lord on his side he will make it. Thanks, Bill
January 21, 2004 at 4:08 am #289421keep letting us know Bill, its times like this that people are at thier best for others in need. Hang in there mike!
January 22, 2004 at 3:54 am #289563Our thoughts and prayers are all with you, Mike. Looking for a bright spot. You’re it.
January 22, 2004 at 11:53 pm #289720They had to cut him open again some Wed. [yesterday] to get rid of some more poison so hopefully that did it and now he can maybe heal with no more surgeries. The Lord is answering prayers so please keep praying and we will pray him right out of that hospital.
Thanks, BillIceJohnPosts: 167January 24, 2004 at 4:15 pm #289932I talked to Mike for a short bit yesterday [Friday] on the phone and for the first time Mike sounded more like Mike. He is improving and if all keeps going well he will be out of the hospital next week sometime. The Lord has been answering our prayers so please keep Mike in your prayers daily and he will be home soon . He won’t be able to work for probably a month as too much bacteria around bait and his wounds are open for better cleaning and healing. Thanks to all of you who have held him up before the Lord in continued prayer. This is what has kept him alive and we came close to losing him but your prayers have done more than you will ever imagine. Thanks, Bill

January 26, 2004 at 4:21 pm #290107Good news indeed. I’ve been thinking about Mike and his recovery daily and these updates help.
We won’t let up on the prayers and well-wishes until we get to see him behind the counter telling fish stories!
January 27, 2004 at 2:05 am #290216Just talked to Mike a few minutes ago and no more pouches of poison were found in test today. Hes hoping to get to go home in a few days. He will be layed up at home for 4-6 weeks before being aloud to go back to work. But each night his voice sounds more like Mikes so hes getting better. Our continued prayers will pray him right out of the hospital. Thanks guys and gals. Really appreciate the prayerful support you all have given Mike. Thanks, Bill
