A chance the FANS drove out Favre?

Not trying to start a fight but I had a lot of time behind the wheel this week and was trying to backtrack the events that lead the Ol’ Gunslinger to MN.

I pinned it to the day Teddy decided to NOT go after Randy Moss before he left for Oakland. And looking even further,, my assumption is that one of the big reasons he didn’t go after Moss was that he was fearful of the FAN reaction.. So in a nutshell,, Packer fan being too proud to take a great athlete from the hated Vikings stood in the way of that deal getting done and ultimately,,the leaving of a legend..

On the other hand,, Viking fan always said we hated Favre,,,,but would love to have him on our team. Funny how this stuff works out isn’t it?

    Just sayin’

I think you might be right…… You have had way to much time to think behind the wheel.

Hopefully the Vikes can keep the momentum going.

I think the reason the Packers did not go for Moss, is that based on his two years in Oakland, they were not sure what they were getting along with some other concerns.

Although taking the advice of your quarterback on who an organization should bring in, never seems to work out if you ask me.

Maybe when Farve is done playing, he should be come a GM and only bring in players that the current players want to play with…..

    ?????

Isn’t that what every single one of these Packer/Viking/Favre debates always turn into??

Anyway, gotta hand it to the Vikings, they do look awesome this year… However, if/when the run into the Saints — and assuming the Saints keep playing at the current level — I think the ride ends there.

    2 cents…

This is how it is going down. Packers make the playoffs with a wildcard. Meet the vikes in the the championship and beat them to go to the super bowl. Sweet revenge!!!!

Purple Reign? Didn’t someone else by the name of Prince have a song called by that name? And wasn’t Prince from Minnesota? Maybe there should be a halftime show with Prince and Brett Favre.

Go Brett! He’s having a great season!

Yea, but Prince spelled it Rain. And yes that would be cool.

And yes, Prince’s sexually is definitely in question. Good comparison. I can’t wait until Favre gets you close, but not quite there and all you purple boys are just sitting there shocked. Your team will fade back to mediocrity the day he leaves and you will have nothing at QB after crapping on the backups for Favre. By then, one or both of the Williams boys will be done or nearly done and your dominant run defense will be gone, and perm boy won’t be nearly as effective coming off the edge. Can’t wait. Meanwhile, the Packers are admittedly not as good as the vikings right now, but are young, way under the cap and have a huge upside with the youth and cash to be amazing in a year or so.

I’m just waiting to see how the vikes play when they have to face a team that is above 500. Is it just me or did they have a soft schedule this year

Right, Green Bay lost a tough one to another Bay team and an overrated Dallas team. While the Vikes have those pushover Giant and Panther teams to play. How did they lose to the Bucks? Was Dilfer out of retirement and put into the game or something?

Ernest and Julio called. They want their sour grapes back. Actually, I think this is the first time I have seen someone manage to use both sour grape and sweet lemon rationalization in the very same post.

Really, please explain to me how GB or Chicago or Detroits schedules are so much tougher than the Vikings.

Fun how Farve’s wrist always starts to hurt when he throws interceptions and then they lose the game
