This is sure to stir the same passion as the Coast Guard license post.

Growing up in the late 60’s and 70’s when rock was king my favorite bands were Deep Purple, The Who, Grand Funk Railroad. Even was a fan of Neil Diamond when he was cranking out a #1 record a month!

Wish I had a buck for every time we cranked “Smoke on the Water” on the 8 track. (you kiddies can google “8 track” )

    Lets hear your favorites.

Geez, forgot Pink Floyd, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Boston, one of the all time greats, geez there is so many.

Areosmith and Pink Flyod have to be up there on the top in my mind, as far as writer singers go …James Morrison and Curt Cobain are the tops

Anybody remember “The History of Rock & Roll” that WLS in Chicago would play one weekend every summer back in the mid70’s? 3 whole days.

Animal stories with Uncle Larry and Little Tommy?

At 11:00pm evey night Little Rock Ark. Had Beaker Street and play only the flip side of the hot albums.

Too many good ones to have a favorite. But I do like Santana. And you can’t leave out the Association

    Beatles
    Eagles
    Any band Clapton was in
    Queen
    Nirvana
    Neil Young

I never really cared for AC/DC or Aerosmith, but they sold tons of albums. I grew up with my dad listening to Arlo Guthrie (and that was in the 90’s).
