Couple years ago I hit one of the Sportsman shows and they had a guy selling plastic bobber stops, they looked like a clam shell and you just squeezed them together where you wanted them on your line.
Looked like they adjusted easily enough and were a lot quicker than the standard stop that I’ve been using.

Well, I just found them in the bag I had put away so I wouldn’t lose them and wondering if anybody else has tried them?

I didn’t like them for open water fishing. I’m usually casting the line out and they would get hung up. They may work for ice fishing or possibly on a lindy rig to adjust the leader length.

There are some plastic bobber stops that I found at JR’s tackle this summer that do work real well. They are a low profile and stay where you put them on the line. They are easy to adjust too.

I remember the guy did mention that they were sized for different line diameters and you had to be careful to get the right one on the right line.

I bought a pack for 4-6 and 8# mono each.

He seemed to get them to stay in place and said “they will go though guides well, as they are football shaped.

Maybe it’s good I only bought a couple bucks worth..
