Great day to be on pool 4

What a change a few days make,we caught some nice sized saugers,the weather was great and I may have got my 14 year old son hooked on fishing,he had a blast and probabely caught 20-25 fish,I just enjoyed watching him.We are sure lucky to have a fishery like this around here and what a pleasure it is to turn loose a 21.5″ sauger,knowing she will lay thousands of eggs.I just encourage everyone to protect our fisheries and many times improve them by letting the big ones go.I must say everyone fishing around me showed good courtesy and enjoyed fishing by them.

Sounds like you had a great time and day with your son. Its always a special time when we can get out with our family .. you gotta love pool 4 this time of the year.

It was beautiful out there! I can’t wait until my son gets a little older and I can show him the way of P4. He’s 2 now so I have another year or 2 before I feel comfortable taking him out on the river.
