I submitted my fantasy football team name: Favre From Over.
Any other good ones?
Too bad they don’t want one for the losers out in Oakland, because I’ve got a good one: chokeland faders.
More specifically, they’re looking for a nickname for the D front 4. (Williams x2, Allen & Edwards). Didn’t come up with it, but I like “Shock and AWWE!!”
Purple Reign was the one I submited, showed on the list of favorites during he game.
It wasn’t till only a few minutes left in the game that I thought of it and submitted it……………
“The Minnesota Wrecking Crew”!
I did see Purple Reign on there during the game, I like that one. I guess mine is out if they are talking about the front 4.
I thought I could go on Fox and vote, but I don’t see where.
Notice all the “HATERS” that have chimed in were from Wisconsin. One more thing…………Thanks Mike and Ted for allowing the “train to leave the station”
I got it, I got it! You have a qb that will play maybe one more season and we got one that will play at least ten!
“the 4 norseman of the apocolypse” you see these guys lined up in front of you and you know the end is near…..

You better hope he last that long, as much time as he(Rogers) spends looking up at the lights he’ll be done after a couple more seasons

Some of these names seem like some would not be fans of the Front 4 ….
I have a question, that we were discussing yesterday during the game, maybe some of you experts will know. On the play where AP had the ball punched out when he was streaking towards the end zone, the second the ball was punched out, wouldn’t the defensive player, have to take his hands off him ??? The player continued to “tackle” AP (by horsecollar no less)… wouldn’t that be defensive holding ??? It was a loose ball, AP did not have it… how could he tackle him ??? I think it was defensive holding, when he didn’t afford him the oppotunity to try to recover, but rather held and tackled him. What says you guys ???

You can combine Drunk Driver and steroid maskers and go with “Droid”. How about “The Drunk and Drugies”, but that might confuse people with the QB. So maybe “The Drunk Cheaters”?
No, I am not a ref ??? The question came up yesterday and my original thought was nobody is on “offense” with a loose ball. My thought was Detroit ball 1/2 the distance (10 yard line) for the horsecollar. If you watch the play, he grabs him by the pads at the neck, then punches the ball out… at a minimum, it was a horsecollar tackle. Do you have an answer ???

I guess the horse collar is a judgment call, but it was all done in the motion of one tackle…I guess I don’t know how to explain it real well. It is not like the ball was knocked out and then they were running down the field and the guy horse collared him. I was talking about you thinking it should be defensive holding because poor AP wasn’t allowed to try to recover the ball. That happens on every fumble. I guess you haven’t had the opportunity to watch Favre fumble the ball much this year, but when he does fumble, the D guy will just lay on top of him.
That was one guys opinion too… if it was done in one motion, then it was just a totally blown missed call. Nice work getting the Favre jab in there…

There was no call…??? Can you read ??? Must be a true Fudgepacking fan…

I made the exact same comment to my wife when that play happened. I know I see it through purple tinted glasses, but being a ref for 18 years, my thought on that was holding. The only guy you can hold, trip, leg whip, contact in the back, etc. is the ball carrier. Once he stopped being the ball carrier, he cannot be held, which he clearly was. Not to mention horse collar!
I’m not whining about the officiating, especially in a blow out win, I’m just saying it was odd, not a play you see everyday. And Edwards did not contact the QB helmet to helmet either.!!!
