Sitting enjoying my morning Facebook yesterday (Saturday) minding my own business, as my FM was preparing to head out for a day on the water, when the conversation turned to what a beautiful day it was going to be. Maybe a little on the cool side with the wind. Suddenly I hear him (FM) say a couple long sleeve shirts and you would be fine, and then my brain started turning. Hmmmm should I go? I really should stay home and get some things done around the house. It only took me about 2 minutes to decide what the heck, it wont be this nice much longer. So after prying myself out of my 3 year olds death grip that says ” Mommy PLEASE don’t go” we were loaded up and on the road for the water.

Upon arrival it was a “LITTLE” windy but it still felt great. A few boats in “His” spot he said but we would get in there. He maneuvered into position and dropped the anchor. It didn’t take five minutes after putting my favorite fishing method ( small sinker, hook and bait) into the water and BAM my first fish of the day. Was it my chosen species? Nope but a Sauger. followed by another and another etc…. I was taken in by the excitement of fish after fish. Throw in a couple walleyes that were just shy of legal size and it was a terrific day. We brought home enough fish for a good meal. I am SOOOO glad that he invited me to go along

So here is my apology to my fellow CATFISHER people, I went walleye fishing and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Dont worry I didnt use my Cat equipment so no sterlization needed to get the scaly residue off.

So THAT’S what I smelled on Trumar today!

No need to ask for forgiveness Mary.

Now be honest with me. While you were out there at least once you thought of fishing cats there or wondered if a sauger would make good cat bait.

    I know it happened!

Once the cat slime is in your blood, it doesn’t matter what your fishing for or catching. The thought of cats enter your mind…which is why it’s ok to fish or other things.

It’s what in your heart that counts.

PS I think you would have been ahead staying home yesterday baking cookies for FM to bring along today.
