Looks like the Twins have traded Gomez to the Brewers for JJ Hardy. This clears out the outfield a bit for the Twins! Now, I assume they’ll pick up the option on Cuddy??

That’s terrible. They traded one of the brightest prospects in baseball for a .229 hitter? Ouch.

He sure was a real charm for the crew last year. Good luck, but go Brew Crew!!

Best prospect? You were watching a different guy then I was. He fell in love with his speed and couldn’t hit a lick. He should have spent all of last year in triple A.

I’ll wish him luck but he wasn’t going to play here this year.

No doubt he had his faults and you are probably right, another year in the minors would have been good for him. But man he could be exciting to watch. I had to close my eyes when Delmond Young was playing in the outfield.

Go Go just had too much talent to trade away for a .229 hitter. They surely have someone in the minors who can do that. I just hope it isn’t one of those trades that comes back to bite you in the rear.

Agreed, however the Twins could not move into Target Field without a major league short stop who can play on grass. If Hardy can bounce back from a dismal 2008 season you will have forgotten completely about Gomez by July. Don’t forget, it was the speed that Gomez had to run down and catch the balls he took bad angles on in the first place.

Don’t give up on Young yet. He is still a real young player who if the Twins can ever get his head straighten out has the potential to hit .300 with 25 – 30 home runs.
