I got forced into attending a costume party by my wife that has a 1980’s theme. Looking for ideas that would be over the top. No kids attending. Was thinking about running around as an obnoxious Richard Simmons selling the Sweat’n to the Oldies tapes. Wife won’t let me be John Holmes

October 30, 2009 at 2:40 pm #812759I agree with Farmboy, you have to wear a pink shirt or sportcoat. Thin ties were in, often loosely hanging around your neck, shirt unbuttoned.
Stone washed denim, say a jean jacket and matching jeans, with a pink shirt, thin tie, and loud shoes, white high tops with neon laces and some type of loud colored plastic sunglasses!
Think Corey Haim!
have fun!
October 30, 2009 at 2:50 pm #812762Jeez, I don’t see the point. I’m still wearing the same clothes I had in the 80’s. No, I literally mean it. These are the same clothes. I’ve been wearing them for 30 years now.
My wife is always making ridiculous suggestions about clothes shopping. The way I go through jigs and plastics on Pool 2 I don’t have time or money for clothes.

LMAO – wish I could still fit in the clothes I wore in the 80’s….30lbs later..Brother n law is alreay doing Kiss, and a neighbor dresses like Don Johnson everyday so I know he’ll already be doing that one. Was also thinking Cooter from Dukes of Hazzard….would like to see my wife as Daisey Duke (or at least in those shorts)
Bob – I did that one a couple years ago Thats why I can no longer do any more adult themed ideas

October 30, 2009 at 8:48 pm #812888Six words. Say hello to my little friend. Tony Montana. Tie a bag of backing soda around your neck and you’ll be the life of the party. Just don’t ask a cop for directions.

Did they skip the 80’s ???? I know they came out and grew in popularity in the 70’s…. I also recall listening to Animalize and Lick It Up and seeing them… in the 80’s…. my head wasn’t in a fog……not all the time anyways… In case you didn’t know, they were around in the 90’s and even are reformed today… I know, I know, the real KISS was Gene, Paul, Ace and Peter….

Good luck, and post pictures!!!! LOL
One of these years I’d like to go as a digital mamography machine… Fingers are digital, right??? Not 80’s related, but still good….
October 31, 2009 at 3:01 pm #813042Going to do the Richard Simmons. I found a video on Youtube we are going copy from when he was on Who’s Line is it anyways. I’ll need a lot of whiskey by 5:00pm for this one…better start now

November 2, 2009 at 3:07 pm #813283Am I too Late?
I’m surprised this wasn’t suggested, but it’ll be a super-easy idea for your NEXT 80’s-themed thing
November 2, 2009 at 7:01 pm #813360Is this 80’s enough? My wife and I made these from scratch this year!
