it’s good they keep winning but they shouldn’t have to wait until the last play to beat a .500 team

Cant wait to watch the Hawkeyes get debacled (Emmitt Smith) on New Years day by any team that matches up with them OVERRATED

Sorry Luke…gotta say this…Iowa is living on borrowed time…Meaning

Living after the time you would have expected to have died.

They are WAY overdue… …and I don’t care what Yanda thinks about it…I was the only one who was willing to give him a ride in from the lake that day on Winnie…and he didn’t even buy me breakfast…

Like Luke said “a win is a win”. Better record than the GOPHERS

Or maybe like the Vikes on borrowed time

Second longest win streak in the nation!? Sure, we may lose a game but it’s been a good ride. By the way how are your teams doing?

boo hoo, don’t be upset because we crushed you in madison!!

And Ted, I’m not sure what to tell you there, other than if I played football at Iowa, I probably couldn’t buy a wisconsin fan breakfast either, even if you saved my life..

Wow. I am a bit surpirsed at the negative opinions of the Hawks. I graduated there in 06 and I have to say that Ferentz and his crew are a class act. I think that it will take a lot to stop us now from going undefeated. The only team to win at Penn State, Michigan State, and Wisconsin in one season was the 1997 Michigan Wolverines and they won the champioship that year. If we get by our last hurdle at Ohio we should be partying in Pasedena. That being said, Go Hawks and On Iowa!!!!

Better to play in January and lose then to go to Boise in November and lose. The Hawks, if you want to recall were the ONLY Big Ten team to win a bowl game last year. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll be rooting for a Badgers win in Boise on the blue turf! lol

I would like to have Ferentz’s contract!! 3 Million a year for 10 years plus 38 hours of use of a private jet for personnel use per year. Like it was said, he is a class act. As much as I worry about Ohio, I would never over look any team in the Big 10. About the time you do that, it would be the kiss of death.

Maybe i will keep the shorts out. I will need them for the Rose Bowl. The wife promised if the hawks ever go back to the rose we would go. She is going to live up to her word.

I’m a Badger fan all the way, but this talk about Iowa being over rated?? If it was Michigan, OSU, or PSU everybody would be talking about how great the big powerhouse Big 10 team is doing and who they would be playing in the National Championship game. I say Florida and Alabama are over rated. Florida should have lost last week and Alabama should have lost this week. At this point I would like to see Iowa go undefeated and try to bring the conference “up”.

Oh, congrats to the Gophers for scoring some points.

And to be fair…congrats coach Belima for not being outcoached in a big game this week.

I thought it was a great game to watch! I’m a fair weather college fan, so anytime we can get a top 10 from our conference with a shot at the national title, I’ll root for them. Go Hawkeyes!!

My wife and her family drove from Des Moines the last time the Hawks played in the Rose Bowl. I think she was 10…

I do not think the Hawks are the best team in the nation, but they are making a heck of a run, and I wish them good luck

The Hawks are looking pretty good. However, I remember the last time they were decent and we got to hear the USC fight song like 80 times in that game.

And how did they get that #4?

The BCS computer formulas don’t care about style points. They do care about schedule strength, though. That’s why 8-0 Iowa, despite sitting just eighth in the coaches poll, currently stands next in line behind Florida/Alabama/Texas in the BCS race.

Say what you want about the Hawkeyes’ decidedly ugly brand of football — they’ve beaten more BCS-conference opponents with winning records (7-1 Penn State, 5-2 Wisconsin, 5-2 Arizona, 5-3 Iowa State and 5-3 Michigan) than any undefeated team and their opponents’ combined record of 38-22 (.633) is far better than that of any other top 10 team.

Hence, five of the six BCS computer polls currently rank Iowa No. 1, placing the Hawkeyes solidly in fourth in the overall standings.

I was in Lincoln for the Clones VS Huskers, boy there were some real upset people to say the least, (made some money there) made it back to Iowa to watch the Hawks, man what a day! Sure had enough beer and fresh air in me to snooze real good Sat night. A great weekend for Iowa, did I hear that UNI lost?

Heard the WI/IA game over the boat radio while fishing pool 9. Had to stayed home this weekend for this one and even threw my tickets away for Marshall Co. Pheasants Forever because it started the same time of the Hawk game. I would say it was worth it . The Hawks really need to put the points on the board next week. Strange how I woke up SOOOO thirsty Sunday morning
