someone on here a while back gave up a crowd pleaser. It is kinda time consuming but well worth the effort. Take some jalepenos and slice them in half and take out the seeds. Then fill the cavity of the pepper with creame cheese and then take a little chunk of pheasant meat (or any meat will work for that matter) and stuff it in the creame cheese and wrap it in bacon and stick it with a tooth pick to hold in place. Grill them until the bacon is done and you have a little morsel of greatness. I sometimes somke them if I have the time. Man o man are they good.
Made Pheasant pot pie out of mine last week! Awesome!!! If you want the recipie, Let me know.
Here’s another recomendation for phesant pot pie. 2 pheasants are just right for 3 pies. Crock pot them until they fall off the bone, remove bones, shot & imbedded feathers. Boil some diced potatoes & carrots but not until done. Put meat, potatoes, carrot, onions, frozen peas and a can of chicken gray in a store bought pie crust. Cover with a second crust. Bake one to eat and freeze two for baking later.
Wrap then in bacon and grill them until you can’t stand how good they smell.. Then chow till you are full

Made this for the 1st time last weekend, without meat added to the cheese. AWESOME!!
One of my favs is the pot pie! A close second is pheasant risoto. 4 pheasant breasts browned in 3 tbl olive oil. add onion powder to tast as well as salt/peper. cut up 9 green onions and add them for one min. put in italian/risoto rice and stir until coated with oil. add one cup white wine and cook until its absorbed. add two cups chicken broth and cook for about 20 min or until rice is tender and broth is absorbed. Add 1 cup parmeson cheese and 2 tbl butter and stir until mixex. serve. It is fantastic and pretty easy. Between the pot pie and this pheasant does not stay around long!
Well this is meant as an appetizer, but they are so good I have been known to eat more than enough for a meal. In fact when my buddies and I do our wild game dinners after skeet we make this as a meal. Mmmm so good. oh wait I suppose you want me to tell you what it is.
1 can- chunk pineapple, or water chestnuts.
1 lb -of bacon
as much pheasant as you want to consume. ( if more than about 4 birds you would want more of the other two things)
Cut pheasant slightly bigger than pineapple. cut bacon strips in half. Wrap bacon around pineapple, and pheasant. Use a toothpick to hold together. Grill at about 300-350 slowly, until bacon is done ( almost crunchy). Try to wait for little nugget of heaven to cool, good luck with that one, and enjoy!
Also. Cut pheasant breast in half and then into strips . ( you should be able to get about 4-6 per breast) Find Babe Winkleman’s crunch breading mix. cover in breading, and fry. Pheasant fingers. MMMMMMMM
stir fried is great too!!! 2breasts de-boned, and cut into bite size peices. 2tbs of cooking oil heated in a skillet or wok… heat oil, add meat cook till browned, add pea pods, brocolli, baby caarrots, water chestnuts, stir and fry untill vegies are cooked, then i usually add kikkomans sezchwan sauce, serve over rice. enjoy!!!!
