Windshear is very similar to WindStopper, and I’ve heard very good things about both. I know a guy who has some WindStopper, and he said it’s worth anything you wanna pay for it.
I’ve heard less about WindShear, but I wouldn’t be afraid to try it at all.

Are these waterproof by chance? I’m looking for a “hoodie” type sweatshirt that is wind and waterproof. However, it must be comfortable enough to layer under my bibs/jacket and must have a hood.

For those days when a jacket is too much, but it’s also rainy/windy out.

I bought Cabela’s WindShear Fleece Jacket last winter and think it was well worth the money. It stops the wind! So one has to think the sweater would too…

I have a Wind Stopper and absolutely love it. I’m sure the Wind Shear is just as good.

I have a wool windshear sweater. Made a huge difference in the wind last weekend. Bought it on clearance from Cabela’s. Well worth the money. Agree with post above to buy one size above.

I have the llbean version. Not so thick but the wind proof bit is really nice when you go from wind to no wind frequently. Really some $ you will not regret spending.

I also own the wool 1/4 zip windshear sweater and it’s one of the best warmth
To weight pieces of clothing I have ever owned! For example last sunday I wore it out
Fishing in mid-30 temps with a polar mock t underneath and a hooded windstopper
Over the top and was warm but not so bulky that i couldn’t pitch jigs!

    Worth every penny!
