Has anyone used Dr.Depth to make their own lakemaps?
I love lakemaster but lets be honest, the selection of lakes is somewhat limited and honestly Navionics does not even come close to the quality of LM but they do have many more lakes but there are so many spots missing. My main reason for asking( besides adding missed spots on lacking Nav maps) is for on Superior where Nav Gold is as good as it gets and that is very poor, Almost ashamed to admit i spent $250 on the great lakes map chip when I saw how lousey they are. -Thanks Mark

Doc Sampson and WarrenMN both do their own mapping. I’m sure Warren will see this post.

I have looking for a program that would be easy to use with my lowrance unit to make my oun maps. Lowrance unit can record sonar info, but need to convert it into a section map.

    Dr. Depth with Bruce Samson

Doc checks into IDO from time to time so hopefully he
    will see your post.

You could also e-mail him at the website in the provided
    link.

I use it and it’s a great program. Cheap and easy. A no brainer if you’re looking to make your own maps.

I’d love to send my data to someone and get a screen shot back of what the finished product would look like before spring for the software. I would only need to see a small chunk of it, to see how the contours looked. I wouldn’t need an actual map file, or the whole image, just a sample of what it might look like.

If anybody is willing to do this, please send me a PM so I could see what the final product would look like.

    Thanks,
