    There are small ponds that are a 1/4 to half an acre in size freezing up in the Alexandria area. If the wind slows down things could get interesting.

    I really love ice fishing but we have to face the facts here. The average temp even for October 31st is 50 degrees. I am betting that before October is over we will hit 70 degrees. Shucks, I have played golf on Thanksgiving before so you never know in Minnesota.

    It just shows where we are at already and how little it would take to get us on the ice. I’m not ready for it yet as I want to get into a boat later in the month.

    This cold weather and snow is just a tease of what’s to come! This is Minnesota! I wouldn’t bet on this cold weather to stay for good. I would guess we still have some warm days ahead. At least I hope! Fall is my favorite season and we’ve been robbed of it so far!
