With the cooler temps rolling in it was time to hit one or two of my favorite spots on the Red Cedar river near Menomonie. Thursday evening I was able to get out and was greeted by a very aggresive walleye bite. It didn’t take 10 minutes and fish on.I fished for two hours and landed 21 eyes. Most fish were 15 to 18″ with big fish a dandy 27″. Sorry no photos, didn’t have the camera along this time. Friday evening followed up with 12 nice eyes. And all this from shore!Bait of choice…5″ Kgrub.Gold craker seemed to be top color. You have to love fall fishing!!!

You you are getting the juices flowing for seceret spot #3 and #1 down on the Chip. Tough for me to justify the trip over to the mighty Miss when we have such great walleye fishing at our doorstep. Glad to hear you do so well and very nice size also.
