anyone eat theese things?well i found one took it home steaked it fried it in butter well it tasted like [censored]!! well i always wanted to try them,now i know.i will stick to the morals in spring.. 
I’ve had them, and I found them to be very tasty. Maybe yours was a touch too old. 
Sam, I had the same experience with puffballs. I’ve tried all different sizes and they all taste the same……cardboard fried in butter.
Are you sure it was the puffball and not what was in that can next to the puffball?? 
Cool…that’s one Big puffball. I have eaten Oyster Mushroom, the big white ones that grow off of trees, they aren’t to bad, if there fresh.

Where the heck did you get that thing? I remember the puffballs when I was a kid (30 some years ago). I was always told not to breath in the dust. I think they said you’d die if you did?
