i have been looking for a lowrance combo unit. I found a new LCX-38c HD for $1199 and a LCX-113c HD for $2049. I know that ther is a 2 inch screen size different but can’t find any other differances. The screen size is an issue but not a $850 issue. I know stickboy said if you find the size you want go one size bigger but the budget is not there. does anyone know if there are any other differances or have a better idea for the $1199 price and is that a good price?

I’d go with an HDS unit if I were you.

Comes with a 2 year warranty and is compatible with the StructureScan add-on when it becomes available.

StructureScan can not be added to an LCX unit.

The warranty replacement on the LCX units is getting pretty

slow. (If you were to get a defective unit)

I would also buy from Wade at JollyAnn who has great prices and does not

charge sales tax if you live outside of Iowa. Shipping is free as well.

Wade is also a site sponsor!!

$2049 for the 113c-hd sounds a bit high. Thats what I put on my boat this spring and only paid 1100. I would shop around and look for a special. Wade at jolly ann always seems to have some thing. Let him no what you are looking for and eventually he’ll come up with some thing. just be patient.

Also when I was in james boat he has the 112 and one of the new hd units maybe the 38. Hopfully he will chime in so I no but if it were the 38 I didnt se a huge differance in screen size.
Remember what I said at rainy. its cheaper now to over size than want a larger screen tomorrow. The bad part is the extra $$$$ up front. I went the cheaper route myself and probally will again it just ends up costing me more in the long run. Yes I am blonde and polish
