    After reading brad0383
s thread on his nice catfish and goat rodeo in the boat, something hit home…superstitions. The one I have is always put something in the beckman, (shoes, tackle box, garbage ect…) cuz sure as heck you’ll catch fish. another one is ALWAYS fish up front never at the stern. Anyone else find themselves doing such things???

Bananas are a big no no in Alaska.

I know some folks that think filling the livewell with water prior to catching a keeper is bad karma.

I have a few guys that don’t get to go with if I’m on a mission to really catch fish. There are two guys I take on occaision that can shut down even the best bite.

Taking a camera is a surefire way to not catch anything of note; leaving a camera at the dock has the opposite effect

I’ve seen “No bananas allowed on board” posted on the rear deck of a charter.

If I leave the net, camera, and cell phone behind I’m sure to have the best fishing day of the year and no way to prove it.

Ropes. All ropes, lines, anything string MUST be stowed. I had a bad experience as a kid, anchor rope around my foot, I was the first aqua view, should have patented that, great view down there. Other than that, the net one, leave it at home or put stuff in it.

Bobble head bass needs to be in the glove box. During my transition of boats thought I lost him for good. Found him late summer and it’s been game on since.

Too Funny!!! I always have bananas in the boat. They help to keep from cramping when its really hot and secondly they are good for ya… What the heck. The only thing I only thing that I know helps me to catch more fish is when BlueFleck dumps a pizza in the back seat of my truck the night before… The guy who bought the truck a couple years later said it smelled “good” in there.. lol.

I also started carrying bananas more when people told me they were bad luck. I would bet if anything I have done better with a banana in the boat.

I will wear a certain hat if for a few trips in a row if I seem to do well wearing it, then dump it to the back of the rotation if I lay an egg. Same with T-shirts.

Where did this whole bananna thing come from? I’ve never heard of it.

Me being on the water is good enough for me. I make my own luck from there.

No bananas ever in the boat! I think I picked it up from Deadliest Catch. My Dad tested this on Lake Michigan and the charter captain threw them in the lake and almost threw my Dad with them. He was seriously mad. I don’t even like to eat a banana the same day I’m going fishing.

I have to have tobacco on my hands. I hate smoking and chewing, but I start every fishing day with a cigar.

And everyone knows you catch more fish with 2 day old underwear on.

Last week I brought bannanas in the boat on friday prefishing. I forgot about them and we didn’t do well in the tournament. I found them on sunday when we were cleaning the boat. My partner didn’t know they were there and gave me a when I found them.
