What kind of duck is this, I guessing some breed of domesticated. It is hanging around a marina in La Crosse by a friends pontoon boat and I could not answer his question but, I told him I believe IDO can
No Mike, it is not a crock pot duck ……yet

Looks similar to an Alaskan sea duck. Don’t know the official name though.
Thinking of the eider??
Anyway, I would say its the UGLY kind!
Looks like a cross between a bald eagle and a barnyard chicken.
The bill and eye are like one of a faded out wood ducks, but I’m guessing some sort of domestic duck or a cross of some sort.

Looks like a muscovy cross with something.

It’s a Muscovy. We raised them for years in Pine City. Goofiest darned duck I have ever seen. Weird personalities. They acted like half chicken and half duck.

Is that how they taste too?
It should be killed so it doesn’t breed with wild ducks. I see all kinds of goofy looking mallards down in Wabasha with big white patches all over them from breeding with domestic ducks. They should be taken out.
Muscovy and it is a great tasting duck.
I raise them and man can they climb.

the Polish raise this duck for food.. and its great to make Cha nen na..( and no that’s not the correct spelling) its ducks blood soup.. and its great.. and tastes great.. and it WILL CLEAN YOUR PERSONAL PIPES if you know what I mean..
no need for those fancy colonics.. or those high flaluten places..
this stuff is the real deal..
and I have been eating it since I could ingest food.
They roost in trees and live forever. One pond I fish has an old drake that likes to hang with me. Comes flying in when he sees me. No, I do not feed the dang things.
