Lowrance HDS-7- How do I take the route lines off?

I can’t figure out how to take the lines off the screen on my Lowrance HDS-7 that show where I’ve traveled. It’s getting really annoying because I’ve been to the same lake a few times since installing the Lowrance and the screen is covered in black lines lol.

Does anyone know how to remove these lines, and take off the option where it traces my path?

    Thanks!

I have last years model but here is what I do.
hit menu twice to get a list that should have your trail routes. Click on trails and a window will open giving you the option to delete all trails or you can arrow down and select the trail that you want to delete and click it to open another window that will allow you to delete just that trail. Hope this helps

In the chart menu go to waypoints, routes, and trails.
Scroll to trails and press enter. Highlight the trail you want to delete and press menu then delete.

I just installed my HDS 5 and took it out for the first time this weekend. I had the same question, thanks for the info!

I don’t like to delete my all on my trails. I have seen my buddy’s Lowrance were the old trails were a different color.

Go to menu, menu,my trails, enter. go to edit trail and make the trails inactive and invisible by going to those 2 boxes and unchecking them. You may need to do this for all your trails if you have more than one, to make them all invisible and not active. You can the go to new trail in the trails menu. You can change the trail color there also and hit enter then exit until you get back to your map display on the display. You will have to play around with it to get familiar with it.
