Anyone else see all the flying ants last night. I was working on a deck in SW Rochester and about 5:30 or so they were everywhere. And I mean everywhere. We could see them as far as I could see in all directions flying around. Then just as fast as they showed up they were all but gone at 7:30 – 8:00. Wierd…….. 
Yep, saw them here too. Looked like a mayfly hatch. I just so happened to notice some activity around a red ant colony and took a closer peek. These flying ants seemed to be attacking the red ants and invading their nests. The whole thing looked like a chinese fire drill!!
They were still active at dark yet though.
I saw them in Rushford last night about 5:30. To say they were everywhere might be an understatement.
And in Chatfield as well.

I had them on my deck last week I believe, I was wondering what they were, that answers it. New Prague.
Here is Hastings too. They were definitely going after the little red ants! Saw them while cutting grass last evening.
You sure the little red ants weren’t the workers or the big ants little boyfriends? The ant colony pours out when the king and queens take flight.
Yep saw lots of them here in New Brighton last night too.
Happens every Aug. Only last a couple of days and then they are gone.
