Grease in my Boat Carpet.

Try some oxy clean, I got some bad coffee stains out of my truck carpet with it. I would try it out first in a spot and hopefully it doesnt smear. I would make your brother buy a case a beer and tell him to get ready to scrub. Dan
Ask Stacy if she remembers the “for better for worse” line.
I do agree, your brother should be searching for this solution.
Super Clean degreaser works good, although I’ve never used it on carpet. Google it.

Just sell the boat, it’s not like your using it
thats not right then we all would suffer no boat = no bikini pics
Try WD-40 It will work. I used it to clean tar on cars. Should not hurt the carpeting. then rinse with some soap and water.
Also what’s left in the can you can spray it on your baits. My Grandpa did this all the time when he went out fishing. Sometimes he would use a whole can in one day.
Dawn dish soap the blue stuff, Let us know how it turned out.

Best and safest… TKO Handcleaner. Rub it in, with a bristle brush, rinse. Repeat if necessary. Then… get your brother some boat slippers…

Ya…big pink bunny ear slippers! He’ll learn to watch his step! And make HIM sit up front in clear view of everyone and run the trolling motor !
When ever I get grease on my clothing I use WD40. I soak the area with it and let it soak in for a bit. After the grease starts to dissolve I start wiping it until the stain is gone then I retreat it but this time I don’t sit on the stain I start wiping soon after I finish spraying. If the rag is still clean I figure I am done and don’t need to retreat it again.
Good Luck
I almost forgot, mineral spirits will work also. You will need to put it into a squirt bottle so you don’t get too much on the carpet. Treat it the same as the WD40 method I explained.
WD40 will dry faster and smell better.

Seriously though, this works great and is cheap.
Try Zippo lighter fluid. It works great and never had a problem using it on carpet or clothing. When the grease has ben removed then use carpet cleaner.
Thanks Guys I will probably start with the Easy & Safe Blue Dawn and see what happens. I will try to get some before and after pics.

you beat me to it slider!
Spray foam carpet cleaner works good too. 3M or Woolite brand. Spray it on, scrub it with a damp cloth, let it dry and vacuum it.

Done that, it helped a little!
Try wax and grease remover. It’s an old detailers secret. You can get it anywhere that sells automotive paint. Works great on any kind of stain you can think of. My wife spilled red candle wax all over a nice table cloth and she couldn’t belive I got it all out.
MY GOD!!! 3 pages to a “grease in the carpet” post??
You never know what’s going to strike a cord with people.
