A short timeline too start. Aug 4 motor dies on river(115 optimax 1 yr old) dealer cannot work me in until aug.11, part needed is on backorder until aug.27. Dealer says his hands are tied waiting on mercury, so I call mercury and have a very mannerly discussion on my frustration of having a year old boat $$$$$ and beeing down for a month, and on monday they call me tell me parts are in and boat will be ready by weekend, call dealer today and he has no part and knows nothing, so I call mercury back and they dont know why someone called me and told me that(can u say runaround) anyway I ask for the manager not as polite this time, and she says sorry nothing I can do but wait, so I suggest possibly cheking other dealers for both parts and maybe a motor on a showroom floor.” oh we have no way to do that she says” after 15 min or so of basically a beat around the bush session I suggest a change of the slogan “mercury #1 in customer satisfaction” and end the call, frustrating looking at a third weekend in a row not on the water thanks all just had to vent a little

If I am assuming the dealer you are refering too that is where my last boat came from, and why I found a new one this time.

I feel your pain, not from that area but our verado had been an absolute poop show, feel like no one else has had problems with verado, but we did. After 3 different marine places not being able to figure out sensor issues or the kicker motor draining the battery, and having to jump the boat all the time- Erickson Marine in Hastings had it dialed right away-and she is running slicker than ever and they figured out how to disable the hydraulic/electric steering just for running the kicker, but steering snaps right back in when running big motor. So far so good, and we have had her out a few times since then. Very pleased and relieved, and they were pretty darn personable.
