13-3 year would have been superbowl with Moss.

Sure hope Raja is not a Harrell.

The 4th round picks we didn’t use on Moss….Are NOT even on our roster anymore.

YES Favre was a drama queen and still is.

Favre does NOT have the tools he use to have. He would try to laser a throw in to small windows….The laser is gone.

He never did learn to look of safeties and linebackers…he just locked in and tried to force it in.

Packers will win division this year with Queens coming 3rd.

Brett has been part of some very good TEAMS in Green Bay.His will to win is unusually strong …but his body is a bit old and brittle. As a packer fan..take care of him Viking line I dont want his last play to end with anything but good results. And NO I will not watch him play the Pack too painful!

Comparing 16 seasons to a 45 minute sit down eating cat-on-a-stick… I can say… Brett should have a more intelligent fan base over here at least…

you, obviously, have never been to Lambeau.
which according SI was THE best stadium to watch a football game based on affordability, quality of team etc.,etc.
Packers had a cupcake schedule in 2007. check out his OVERALL numbers from 2005 to present. pay particular attention to playoff numbers. http://www.nfl.com

“some high schools have nicer stadiums”
    really?
I would argue, barring injury, the Pack have a franchise qb for the next ten years.
Can the purple faithful say the same?

SI ??? Who cares. I am talking stadium… you know the 2 x 10 aluminum bench seat they say is so great ? Just because they say its so great… doesn’t mean you have to believe it…. but hey, whatever floats your boat. Is Rogers under contract for 10 years ???? That would be a dumb move in my opinion…. but then again, it is Thompson

visit Lambeau Nov. 1 and tell me that it is comparable to a high school stadium.
i’ve been to both. several times.
    i’ll take Lambeau.
Rogers is on board until 2014. I imagine the Vikes will be chasing McNabb about then.

I’m having a hard time figuring out what you are excited about? I cant believe that people actually believe that Favre is going to be the Vikes miracle man…..not hardly. He is old and washed up. Once again I will say he WAS a great QB in his time but unfortunately folks that time is up. I suppose though as always a TRUE Vikes fan has to get all excited just to be let down…..again. It sure will be nice to see Rosenfels on the field when that old man hurts his thumb or breaks a hip

And you were excited about Sage or Tavaris ??? Your bubble has popped then…. Excitement comes in many forms… I am excited to see what Favre can do and what the team can do with him calling the shots. If you are ho hum about all this… then I doubt you will ever get excited.

just some facts for the purple kool-aid folks.

Favre’s last 4 seasons (on average per season)

    3800 yds passing

    22 TD

    21 Ints

    80.1 qb rating

only threw more td’s than int’s 1 time in that time span

    I am done now

I’m excited. But it’s simply because I believe #4 gives us a chance. I KNOW Tjack doesn’t. Sage, was a possibility, but he has never been a 16 game starter in this league for a reason. There are not that many starting QB’s in the NFL. He wasn’t even good enough to become one for other teams. The fact he had to “beat” Tjack(which may have been media hype) proves to me he isn’t that good. Great backup for a game or two, maybe. Let’s hope he gets lots of reps this year after we blow out a bunch of teams.(that was a big swallow)

I appreciate the sting the Packer fans are feeling and I’m doing my best to let the it subside before ribbing you. Sometimes jokes have to be timed and I’m guessing it’s just too soon.

AW, C’mon, I thought that analogy was darn clever!!!????

Hmmm… Minnesotans must be waaaaay smarter than us WI hicks… I’ll just forfeit my doctorate right now in deference to MN superiority… Then again, Minnesotans HAVE to be smart to come up with so many excuses for lost super bowls….. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Not about football and definately not Vikings football. What next maybe they can talk Joe Montana out of retirement. Now maybe if the Vikes signed Adam Weber (Minnesota Gopher QB) that would be something to be enthused about

The thing that excites me most is when I set the hook and the fish on the other end rips drag instead of being reeled rite in, then I know I got myself a piggie. So yes I do get excited not about a drama queen who is old and washed up.

This thread sure was derailed early and often. Being a life long Viking fan, I almost puked thinking about Favre in Purple. He’s our QB now and I hope he has a probowl season.

Back to original topic of this thread. I think Favre must be licking his chops knowing he has Peterson in the back field. Every defense is going to have to pick their poison. If they stack the box with 8 defenders, Favre has a field day in the air. If they back off for pass coverage, Peterson runs wild. I think Petersaon will be flirting with 2000 yards this year because of Favre under center.

I have noticed one thing reading through this entire thread. I think some Packer fans could use a little cheese with their whine.

    Skol Vikes!

    Sandbar,
Not sure if you’ve seen this one. I thought it was pretty funny. I hope its not too off topic because it does have Farve making a reference to AP. Even though I am one of the terrible Packer fans that does NOT wish Farve the best, it sure does ratchet up the rivalry a couple levels.

He’s going to like it for the first two running plays…then when he gets undercut with those knees striding so high, he’ll tear his ACL and Favre will be back to mediocrity again .
