Well this last weekend on saturday about 2 o’clock I married the woman of every man’s dreams. She hunts, she fishes and all around loves the outdoors. We have been together for six years already and I hope we stay together for another 50 plus years.
On Monday we went fishing and of course she had to out fish me. I hate to omit that. First fish of the day my bride caught was a 16″ eye. Witch she caught trolling a 3″ light green and white frenzy in about 6′ of water. She also caught a 14″ sager on the same lure but it was in 9′ of water. I only caught a small bass and a sheep head. Not the best after none of fishing but for not fishing in more then a month I guess we did all right.

Congrats on finding that one person your so passionate to share the rest of your life with. I do need to disagree with your statement “every man’s dream” because I married THAT woman 17 years ago… LMAO – Well, maybe you did for your generation.

I get excited to hear people talk so proud of their better half for a couple of reasons. In today’s world, everything seems so disposable. I am old school in my beliefs with marriage, and strongly believe in death do us part. Too many people focus on marriage as a negative thing and all that is given up. That’s too bad, and I hope you never fall into that trap. Individually, we always need to look at all we have gained. Marriage is a celebration of friendship that should be embraced everyday. A marriage is not just the partnership of two people, it is the partnership of families and friends. It is that blended group that should all be supportive of each other.

I didn’t mean to go too far over the top with this. I am also so proud of my wife and the family we have created. She is my best friend and regardless of the circumstances, the one I want to share every experience in life with.

So, to you and your bride! I hope you both continue to have that desire to share in each others’ lives every day. The only draw back to a great marriage is how fast the time flies by. I knew I was going to marry my wife by our second date. That, my friend, was 23-1/2 years ago and I have no concept on how we sped through life so fast.

    Best wishes!

Get used to it. It’s only the beginning. She only lets you come along to drive the boat and run the net. jerr

I forgot to mention for our honeymoon, she wants to go Halibut fishing in Alaska. I don’t know if my little woman can handle a two-hundred pound fish. But then again, she can handle me so she might do alright.

Congrats! Nine years ago today I married my FW. I knew she would be a good one when she agreed to spend our honeymoon at Cass Lake. We have went every year since and will leave on the 29th for two weeks. I think it’s cool that there are a lot of women that like to fish as much as we do.
