Smart Car or Can ?

    This is a picture of a Smart car, that was in a rear end collision….. not too smart….

    I heard that those smart cars have a fair amount of leg room and cargo space. The only thing you can’t fit in them is a pair of testicles.

    As much as I would never be seen on one of these here smart cars, Im not sure any car would look very good between 2 loaded dump trucks.

    My thinking…. a bigger car = easier to see, to avoid such things, plus another 6 feet of “crumple” zone, might have helped… Give me a 5th Avenue or a Town Car anyday in there… over the Can…. Agreed, wouldn’t want to try

    Snopes says it was actually a Ford Escape that was not hit dead center. The driver side actually was still intact and the driver had minor injuries….I still wouldnt own a Smart Car though.

    Thanks jimt, snopes’d it myself.. (didn’t know this would be there ) said he was hospitalized and yes it was a Ford Escape…. aptly named it I believe !!!!

    …and for God’s sake G, everyone knows a Smart would have totaled out BOTH trucks.

    I mowed over a fawn on friday night on the way to the cabin with a Ram 2500… I would have hated to see what it would have done to a Smart Car Didn’t even scratch the truck
