Gander Mountain Guide Series often go on sale fo around 50 or less. I bought a few to have as “beater” rods. Not bad for the money. A lot heavier than a Kistler or Loomis; but a lot cheaper

ive got a bunch of gander rods and so far ive had really good luck with them. sensitivity is better than i would have expected, but still no where near the feel of a st croix, loomis, etc. their IM8s will run you around $60 regular price, i think. i wouldnt step into the im6’s, unless its for the kiddies.

I would put out a post looking for a used flipping rod. IMO you will get a better rod for the money.
