? on price value on a 1999 Crestliner 2085 Pontoon

Ok, I know I have about 4 posts out here about pontoons and motors about pricing. WHO would buy this pontoon. 1999 2085 LSI Crestliner pontoon, 1999 40 HP 2 stroke Johnson(EFI I think), Tilt/Trim, 4 speaker radio/cd, 2 tables, Playpen cover, Wet bar, Depth Finder, Double tanning bed in back, convertable custom made tanning bed in front, lots of storage, swim ladder,seats are in good condition, Bimini top has a couple small holes, it’s a cruiser pontoon with bench seating. $8,000. We have taken it for a ride and motor seems to run great. I am guessing it was about a $20,000 boat new in 1999. Who would buy this boat and what would you pay? Thanks.

last fall…I bought a 2004 Crest Sport 22′ with a 2004 40hp Yamaha and no trailer….Paid $5900.00

Wow, that was a good deal especially if the motor was a 4 stroke.

to me it doesnt seem like pontoons hold there value as well as a v hull. I see alot on craigslist that are newer and with bigger motors for less than that asking price. My honest opinion is that is a lot for that boat package amd i would maybe pay $5000 for it if it was in top shape. Check around at local dealers and see what they are getting for something similar and i would knock some off what they r asking>

You may want to check out http://www.wisconsinsurplus.com (sorry this is not a link – you’ll have to type in the whole URL) They have an online auction with a 1997 pontoon – last bid was under $3,000. Ends in the next couple of days. NO warranty but then there isn’t from any private owner.
