Looking for help on the river

I am planning a very late fall fishing trip to the River. I am in west central MN and am meeting a buddy from the Quad cities. We think pool 7 is about the half way point. He is somewhat familiar with the river system, but i am a laker only.
I would like someone familiar with that area to provide us with some simple info, like a place to park a camper? is there acsess on the MN side? should we target a different pool. I have many more questions.
Any info would be greatly appreciated

You should do well on 7. There’s a MN side launch in the town of Dresbach and a place you can park your camper near the launch.
