I built and use the Avid ML Ex fast 7’6″. Find it to be a very nice rod.

I got 6 avids that are 7′ med/light. They do wonders for lindy riggin. Those rods are also used for bobbers, pitching, vertical. All around great rod.

Tough to go wrong with any of these suggestions mentioned earlier here. The xtra length of the 7’6″ is nice for dragging jigs as well, but dont always fit in everyones rod lockers.

I have the 7′, but would like the 7’6″ for Mille Lacs and the long snells we often use up there. They also make for a nice bobber rod.
