Before and After

Well these are not exactly before and after, I didn’t take the before until after I had already hit the tank with the wire wheel and power washed it. I put two coats of Rustolium aluminum on the tank and one coat of Rustolium Alis-Chalmers orange on the cap. I will put another coat on the cap after it cures but one doesn’t look bad.

I want to send a big thanks out to Gary, Brian Hoffies, fishing machine, and sirchad for replying to my previous post. I had the aluminum paint already used about $15.00 and used about $1.00 worth of the orange. So for $16.00 and about four hours it sure looks nice.

    Looks pretty nice

Did you use spray paint or do you have a spray gun?

Had I known you were really painting a full sized LP tank, I would have suggested one of the following

Now I see why you wanted to paint it.

    I like the watermelons better.

I think if I had one of those in my yard I would add some tail fins and paint it to look loke a bomb.

To what depths can you dive with that rig?

I rolled the tank and brushed the cap.

I wish that it looked as good up close as it does from a distance. Thanks everyone for the nice comments, and those mellons do look pretty cool.
