A list of the following makes for a great fishing trip.
    1. scoop of crappie minows w/ small net. not the bait of choice on this trip.
    2. lime green line w/ a PINK hook and a purple bead.
    3. a NEW lighted bobber
    4. an extra rod w/ a big washer tied to the end of the line.
    5. a new lunch box w/ snacks and gatorade
    6. a pair of binoculars
    7. a game called Leapster
    8. and a empty livewell

That’s all you need to take your 5 year old Grandaughter out for her first Walleye fishinf trip. We caught no fish, so thats when the empty livewell came in handy
We went from 7:00-10:00 pm and had time for a late night trip around the lake to look at the “PRETTY LIGHTS” before heading home. OH! and the PERSONAL BEST. 3 hours of fishing, great fun and a nice boat ride. And her DAD said “20 minutes top” And to think I taught him everything I know and he still knows nothing. And the show stopper was “THANKS PAPA FOR TAKING ME FISHING I LOVE YOU”

Oh Yeah, alittle side note. While we were looking at the IDO web site I mentioned the HOKEY POKEY. Thanks to BK we did have to do 1 round of the HOKEY POKEY in the boat. She must have picked it up at pre-school. Might be a tradition started here for all the grandfathers who take the little ones out fishing

Sounds like a real good trip for you both.
But with BK one round of the Hokey Pokey is never enough.

I think it would be a great ice breaker when guiding new clients.

Gotta tell ya at first I just opened this thread to see some big old honkin fish. But after reading your post it’s better than that. Way cool! Good for you!
