    Guys
Looking for people with the 6.0 liter moters to see what kind of mileage they get. Looking for info with the boat and without the boat mileage.
I looking to get a new truck and the chevy 1500hd crew have a nice look to them. My old 98 chevy lost a battle with a tree in a storm a few weeks ago. So if anyone know where a good used truck is let me know.
    Thanks for any help.

    I got 10 pulling a 620, and 12 without. Don’t expect much more.

It all depends on how you drive that 6.0 liter. I would imagine you would get similar to what Mr. Larson stated. If your going to be pulling less than an 18′ boat I would go without the HD model…over kill in my opionion. Stick to a regular 1500 in whatever model truck. If your going to be pulling anything bigger, I would run a diesel. Just my thoughts, I run a diesel 2500hd crew cab, filled up today 16.6 mpg as my commuter vehicle from Rogers Mn to downtown mpls…not too bad. lots of starting and stopping still decent mileage.

Ditto to what Dan said. I got ~9-10MPG pulling a Warrior 2090 or Alumacraft Nav 175. And about 12 with out as well.

DITTO. 10/11 pulling my WX1880 and 12 on Hwy – sometimes. Usually 11. Still have it (2001 1500HD quad-cab). Runs great and looks brand new.

I had a 2500HD with 6.0l and 4:10 gears. I got a rock steady 12.5mpg and when my 1850 tyee was hooked up, I got 11. More power than anything I have ever owned – and I could pass vehicles at will when towing, but tough on fuel……

Yep, I have a 2500 HD with the 6.0 for my work truck. 12.9 Mpg tops with nothing behind and tail wind. More like 10.5 pulling a Ranger 620 and Winter time you can expect even worse.

Get about 11 towing a 618 with an overall average of 12 or so. That’s mostly 70-75 highway towing with the AC on!

When stock my 6.0 got 19.6 consistantly driving up north to the cabin. All two-lane and never over 60 MPH. After putting on a topper and larger tires I lost 1.5 to 2 mpg. Mostly the topper. Mine is a little different than the HD 6.0 and I have it programmed to only burn premium gas. Pulling loads or hitting the expressway and I get low teens.
