I 35 – both northbound and southbound are one lane from North Branch to Harris. Construction lasting until November. Friday afternoon traffic (North) was backed up to Stacy! I didn’t even try to take it coming home yesterday. I made a move that worked out well on my trip to Mille Lacs. Cut over to 65 on Isanty county 9. But if traffic is backed up like that again, I’ll make that exit at Stacy or Forrest Lake.

Avoid this weekend parking lot at all costs!!!

Come on Jon, don’t tell people that. Then 65 will become gummed up as everyone is moving over there. Man I hate that weekend city traffic.

To add to this post, on Hwy 23, just west of Milaca, the bridge is out, right by the High School. Soooooo… on the way home, I came down 169….. that is down to one set of lanes from Onamia to the rest stop…. we were literally stopped for about 10 minutes, on a 15 minute drive usually…. why do they do it all at once ???

Friday late afternoon heading to Duluth we got to experience this stretch first hand. Turned a 2 hour trip into a 3.5 hour trip. In a nutshell… it stunk. Avoid at all costs as Jon pointed out.

Gotta spend all that stimulus money. I’ve been in MN, IA, SD, ND, KS, MO, and NE all in the last few months for work and it’s unreal the amount of construction going on right now. Some of it you drive by and wonder what the he!! it is their fixing?

To those of you coming west on Hwy 95 from Cambridge to Hwy 47 North there is a detour there also. Replacing a bridge on 95.

Soon Mille Lacs will be deserted because nobody can get there.

For those of you that take 35 to 18 heading to the Pond or Duluth..you can also jump off onto 61 North and bypass it, jumping back on again in Rush City.

    But don’t tell anybody!
