We are finally getting some rain down here in the Winona area. It has been really dry and we need this rain. Of course we have to be careful what we ask for or we’ll end up with another flood – we don’t want or need that!

Good to have the rain and a forecast for a nice weekend.

We’ve had rain everday this week. Mostly down pours is the problem. But, it’s better than nothing.

It’s just starting to tinkle a little down here in DeSoto. Sky sounding like my stomach grumbling and rolling the morning after an all nighter. Need the rain too but in slow moderate amounts. Not an inch an hour down pour that runs off the rock hard ground anyways.

Been downpouring off and on all morning here in Holmen. The thunder has been very impressive as well.
We did need the rain though. We have had 3 grass fires set off by trains the last few days. This rain should moisten things up for a few days now

20 miles west of Rochester in Dodge Center we got a “good” dose of hail for 10 minutes…It came down HARD for 5 of those minutes. Marble to just under golf ball sized. No damage at my place other than it looks like fall under my maple trees. 1.5″ of rain, although i’m guessing some was from hail that melted in the rain guage.
