Is that area considered a National Park? Or MN waters?

Either way I am good this side of the Mason Dixon Line, or whatever they call that Cannuck demarkation line…I think!

If not…you may hear “Hey Stickboy…hold this for a second…”

The key in these scenarios is to NOT GET CAUGHT. And have a fellow houseboat mate handle the alleged weapon so his finger prints are on the gun.

Sounds like an awesome trip boys, enjoy!!!

Dustin and I are headed up early. We’re going to grab a few hours of sleep and head out at 3 AM. With some luck we should have a fishing report to share tomorrow night.

Well… here it is 1 AM and I’m wired and ready to get the heck on the road. Dustin’s about ready to get a rude awakening. I think I’ll let Ollie the chocolate lab wake him up. He loves the “get ’em” game when someone’s asleep… lol

There WILL be a fishing report up here tonight for all you guys headed this way. Today’s the day!

I’m wired and not even leaving today, 3:54 AM and just strolled in from the garage for the first time since putting the kids to bed at 9PM.

It’s a good thing that I don’t drink coffee BUT I might need to cut back on the Mountain Dew

And Yes James, I am more than a little jealous

    Go hammer some piggies

We made it and fished like mad yesterday! The weather is inredible. PErhaps even too warm and muggy. Water temps hit mid severnties yesterday and today we’re looking at another HOT and humid one.

To the fishing… Took all of 5 minutes to boat the first 23″ fish so we got off to a great start. Just about every reef we stopped at gave up a few or three but no single reef really produced big numbers so staying on the move was key for us. Slip bobbers with shiners or jigs with the same produced all our fish. Today we’re going to do a complete 180 and go shallow… trolling, casting cranks and maybe even some snap jigging is on the menu. Hero or zero looking for a shallow bite. Dustin and I will either have a great lead to share with everyone by the end of the day… or we’ll come up empty handed. But all that shallow rock deserves some exploring.

    More tonight.

I’m pretty much worthless today. I should just leave now.

Good luck today James. I would love it if you find a trolling bite.

Maybe we’ll see you tomorrow evening. Where are you and Dustin staying?

We’re staying at Chris’ pad. Give me a call when you get into town.

We looked for a trolling bite… no walleyes for us on the troll. But we’ll kep looking. If we can get a little wind to get some waves on the shorelines we’ll be looking to do some crank casting too. But with the FLAT calm conditions over the last two days there hasn’t been anything going shallow. But the deep ref edges continue to kick out fish. Everyone is going to have a GREAT time.

Really looking forward to meeting a bunch of fishing finatics. Weather looks great except would like to have some shoreline jig pitching opportunities. However I’d be a fool to ask the weather gods for a little wind.

Thanks to all who put in the work to make this happen. That includes Joel who kept cabin #5 on track.
