Priorities, priorities. We all have them. I used to be a bow hunter but I had to give it up or loss my sanity. I just couldn’t do all the fishing I wanted AND the hunting so one had to go. I’ll just have to work on you over the next year and see what it will take to get you to make it next year.

PS – I didn’t know hunters were afraid of a little rain.

When it comes to deer hunting I am as hard core they get I bow hunt, shot gun, & muzzle load from Sept to Dec but the way I look at it I can miss one weekend to get in on some of the best fishing I will probably have all year.

I have to admit that would suck but on the bright side he will be just that much bigger next year.

Shoot me a PM or email if you have ANY questions about this trip or how to make a reservation. We’d love to have you along and Joel could certainly use a fishing partner.

Oh one more question…. I know how big of a success this is going to be, and with the limited amount of spots I’m pretty sure my crew would like to reserve next year also!! Can we do that too??

We’ll be accepting reservations for next year at the end of the trip. This trip will be an annual deal to be held mid-september each fall. We’ll likely be capping the attendance next season at 30 so the guys that attend this year will get first dibs on next year’s spots.

    Why only 30 people??

This first year we wanted to keep everything at a manageable size as this is the first time through organizing this type of GTG. We want everything to go smoothly and for everyone to have a good time. If people need help getting on fish… we want to be able to jump in a boat and go. With Chris, myself and Bill Dougherty committed to acting as chaperones for this group we felt that 30 was all we could handle and do a great job of it. Next year we might expand it a bit based on how things go this year or if the interest justifies adding additional chaperones.

Great question. But now on to the bigger question… you coming?

Sounds like a great trip but after 11 days in Scotland next month and a 4 day weekend on Winnie in September thats it for vacation days for me.

Rainy is a great lake, maybe next year.

I’m in for this one. The checks in the mail. it looks like i will be flying solo since the cold front kid has to take a trip accross the big pond and hang out with people who think they can speak english. I am sure he will be bringing back some of that scotch they brew over ther. I live in Eagan and can drive( i have a suburan) or hook up with a ride. I can tow someones boat if need be or take mine. I am ok with going up a day early also. I have never fished rainy and this is going to be a great chance to hook up with some good people and fisherman.

Hey Joel…I will know later today whether I can make this work. If it is a go, I might be up for meeting in Tomah or Eau Claire. Have to check with eyetroller first. Don’t know how many you want in your boat or to share expenses? Oooohhhhh…I hope my wife didn’t plan her annual sisters weekend on MY birthday… …or my house might look like this… …lol

Just got back from vacation. Sounds like a real trip. Would like to bring my son, Cal, and my brother, Randy. Besides myself. It’s our 35th wedding anniversary Sept. 21, but that is the day after we get back. After 35 years, I know Lorraine would understand. She is so awesome. the bow is for the wife.

Can’t wait to meet and see everyone there! Sounds like an awesome trip. With the way the weather has been up there we may be ice fishing instead of open water fishing! Good thing the guides can get on fish all times of the year.

Looks like we’re 100% full to capacity on this one in the first week.

I knew we were going to have a lot of interest but I never thought we’d fill out so quickly. I honestly believe we could have filled 50 slots up there if we had the room. We have guys coming from as far away as Nebraska!

As of tonight I have 28 deposits in hand and I have another two committed that would round out this trip. If one or both of those deposits fail to show a couple slots for singles might open back up but as of right now we’re no longer accepting commitments for new deposits.

In the event that a slot would open up last minute and you’d like to get on a waiting list let me know.

Thanks to all that JUMPED at this opportunity. We’re going to have the time of our lives up there in September!
