I have a 1998 stratos 285 pro elite with a johnson fast strike 150 4 blade renegade prop 6″ manual jack plate.
I was wondering if anyone has any idea of how low the prop shaft should be below the boat. I purchased the boat this spring and think it is a little to low but need some input if possible. Thanks

Check out Bass Boat Central.com setup section.

You can also do testing on your own by taking down your information. Be sure to record water psi, WFO RPM’s, time to takeoff and top speed. Adjust up in 1/4″ increments until you lose speed or water psi drops below 15lbs, then go back up 1/4″. Make sure you do not exceed mfg spec on RPM’s.

    Good Luck.
