My right shoulder is telling me that I should get an electric starter kit for my 25 hp 1990 Johnson motor. Is it expensive to convert a pull-start to an electric start?
    Thanks

I think it runs 600 or 700, but I don’t remember for sure. I know Whiskerkev looked into it for his 30hp Johnson. Shoot him a PM and he should be able to tell you what he was quoted. I do know that it was expensive enough for him to learn how to pull the motor left handed.

Cheaper to get a new motor. Mine blue books at 700 dollars is a 2003 and they wanted what it was worth to put it on. I went with use my other arm.

Thanks for the advice! I’m gonna try it left-handed this weekend!
