    I had an oopps this weekend coming down hard on a wave on pepin and my transducer broke off.For some reason the previous owner of my sheeter placed the transducer on the outside of the boat.So my question is,with this unit can i get by with the single beam for $69.00 or do i need the dual beam for $300.00.Any help with this is appreicated.thanks

    If you are fishing lakes and rivers around here a single 200 Hz beam is all you need IMO. The Dual 200/50 transducer is usually used in really deep water or Salt water fishing. Sometimes used in down rigging also.

    Woody, I just saw your boat today….get the 200 only, it’s all you’re likely to need.
